One of Darjeeling's most storied estates, growing tea at 3,500–7,000 feet in the foothills of the Himalayas. The altitude and cool climate slow the bushes down and concentrate everything — the result is a pale gold cup with the classic Darjeeling "muscatel" character: delicate, slightly astringent, with hints of black currant and a finish that lingers like a good wine.
Nearly all of the estate's bushes are the Chinese Jat variety, which accounts for the tea's exceptional fragrance and the distinctive tippy, golden appearance of the leaf.
